Software Product Description

GeoServer is a Java-based software server that lets you view and edit geospatial data. GeoServer allows for great flexibility in map creation and data sharing by making use of open standards set forth by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).

Implementing the Web Map Service (WMS) standard, GeoServer is able to create maps in a variety of output formats. A free mapping library, OpenLayers, is integrated into GeoServer, making map generation both quick and easy.

The GeoServer app is built on Geotools, an open source Java GIS toolkit. GeoServer can display data on any of the popular mapping apps such as Google Maps, Google Earth, Yahoo Maps, and Microsoft Virtual Earth. Additionally, GeoServer can connect with traditional GIS architectures such as ESRI ArcGIS.

As GeoServer is written in Java, it allows you to share and edit geospatial data. It has been designed for interoperability and it publishes data from any major spatial data source using open standards: WMS, WFS, WCS, WPS and REST.

GeoPackage tiles layer with global extents doesn't render.
Cannot set default style using layer PUT.
LayerGroup and Layer Names order in WMS 1.1.1 GetCapabilities document.
Requesting workspaces triggers an NPE when proxy headers are used for the proxy URL.
File chooser autocomplete list might contain duplicate elements.
GWC fails to cache tiles if GeoFence with source IP driven rules are used for authentication.
Several fixes regaring the Windows batch files.
WFS shapefile and GeoJSON output can't handle geometries with measures.
ClientStreamAbortedException logged at severe level when going through PNGJ encoder, should be at lower level (debug).
TurboJPEG write (via TurboJpegImageWorker) throw IllegalArgumentException when a colorExpansion occurs.
Geoserver printing plugin (print-lib) leaves opened files.
GS-GWC web GUI sets wrong EPSG:4326 coordinate axis order for topLeftCorner when saving a GridSet.
gml:id is present on WFS 1.1.0 GML 3.1 geometry encoding.
GeoTransform Attribute in NetCDF output may contain wrong coefficients.
WCS 2.0 should return an InvalidSubsetting exception when requested out of time/elevation/custom range values.
Complex features nested attributes not correctly detected.
CoverageView setup fails if one of the source bands has an indexed color model.
App-Schema postgis online build is failling on GeoJsonOutputFormatWfsTest.
RD (epsg:28922) to epsg:3857 (Google) reprojection cuts of map(tiles).

New Feature:
Extracting min/max values only for interval dimensions.

Add documentation about the :where_clause: place holder in SQL views \ virtual tables.

Introduce new coordinates formatting options for WFS layers.
Add a purge="metadata|all" parameter to the structured coverage granules removal REST endpoint.
